Mandy's Retzlaff is a beautiful lady with an incredible humour, a remarkable smile an inner strength that is reflected in her amazing letters to friends. She is a child of Africa who has a deep affinity and understanding of its people, she has seen her home destroyed and her fellow Zimbabweans starved by a leader determined to ruin her country. 

Like so many of her fellow citizens Mandy feels abandoned and hopeless and is trying to start a new life in a different country. In an effort to provide laughter and relief Mandy took to documenting her extraordinary life with its daily twists and turns.
